Happy Birthday Savannah!

Savannah with her good friend Leah. This year she was able to take 1 friend to the movie and then to McDonald's for her birthday celebration since I am anti-birthday party this year! I think they both had a great time and they were even a little bit silly.

Happy Birthday Savannah! We Love You!

Santa Found Us!

On Christmas morning this is what Savannah and Ava found under the tree . . .

They were very excited. This doll house is as tall as Savannah! I suppose you really can't tell from the picture. Our Christmas morning didn't start until about 9 a.m. Savannah and Ava had a really hard time going to bed on Christmas Eve because they were so excited! I think after about 2 hours Jason finally brought them in our bedroom and laid with them so SANTA could actually get his work done.

Happy Girls with Crazy Hair! I think Savannah's favorite part of not being in school is getting away with not doing her hair. She begs me everyday, I don't know why she hates to have it done so bad. A fun tradition that we have on Christmas Eve (which was handed down from Jason's family) is opening a present and it is always their Christmas pajamas they get to wear to bed that night.
And this was Leah's first Christmas (I know, lots of firsts) and of course her favorite part about all of it was the bows. She wasn't interested really in anything else. And I'm sorry, I couldn't resist posting this picture . . .

All in all we had a good Christmas! But I must say that I am glad that it is over. Christmas came too fast for me this year. We hope everyone had a merry christmas and are looking forward to the new year!

Dancing Nanners!

Because I posted a pic of Ava in her dance costume, I had to post one of Savannah too. She performed at "Fantasy in Frost" on Saturday. It was adorable. I wasn't able to get the video on my blog, I think the file might be to big and that is why it won't let me. Savannah is also one who is not afraid to be on stage. She is such a ham and fun to watch when she dances. I love the costumes this year. They are by far my fav!!!

Little Turkeys and First Thanksgiving!

We needed a fun project to do since the kids were out of school, so we made these really easy Turkey hats and the kids had a blast. They looked cute too wearing them to Thanksgiving dinner. The little girl in the middle is my niece, Kennedy. She loves to come over and play with Savannah and Ava. She calls Savannah "Ava" and she calls Ava "Jean Jane". I think she is a little confused. We are grateful to have such good cousins.

And this year was Leah's first Thanksgiving with us, even though she didn't get to eat turkey or anything exciting like that!

Grandpa Alma and little Leah! He never will look at the camera when I am taking his pic.
I know I am posting this a little late, but we give thanks this year for having our first home, many great friends and family, and we are all grateful that little Leah is part of our family!

Ava's Dancing Debut

Ava had her first dance performance on Friday at the Talon Craft Fair and I absolutely had to post this picture because of the cuteness of Ava in her costume. I love watching this kid dance. She never gets afraid to get on the stage, she is a pure born entertainer!

Look Mom, No Bangs!

We have decided that we are going to grow Savannah's bangs out - finally! We have attempted this on many occasions, but we never followed through with it because they would get in her eyes and drive her nuts, or I would have to listen to her whine about the way I did her hair. She has finally decided to give it a try and what do ya think? I think she looks pretty darn cute.

First feeding!

I can't believe how fast Leah is growing up - we just started her on rice cereal. She isn't really sure what to think, I can't really tell if she likes it yet. She was more interested in playing with the spoon than she was eating. We just took her to her 4-month appointment and she is weighing in at 11 lbs. 6 oz. We are loving each moment with her. I forgot how much fun each stage is.

Leah's baby blessing and the cutest ears I ever did see!

I know I am posting a lot tonight - but I have to post this pic of Jason and the girls. On Saturday morning I was loading the dishwasher and the girls had all gone and got in bed with Jason. He was in there playing with baby Leah. When I went back there they were all so cute and cuddly, I just couldn't resist taking a picture. They love their dad! (Sorry, don't look too close at Jason in his garments!)

I love that little Leah's ears! They are just like her dad's ears. We also blessed her this last Sunday. I wish I had some better pics but this is all I ended up with -

Grandpa Joe blessed her and he did such a great job. We are so happy to have this beautiful little girl in our family. I can't imagine life without her! Really, what did we do without her?!?

Pumpkins

Well, we carved our pumpkins last week but I never did do a post on it. The kids were so excited to do it and then about 2 hours into it Jason and I realized that we were the ones who got the raw end of the deal! The kids were in the house playing and we were still out in the garage carving the pumpkins! Note to self (actually note to Jason): Only buy 2 pumpkins next year - NOT 4!

What a good sport-he even had a paper due this particular night and he still was willing to do the pumpkin carving party with me!

The Munchkins - Savannah got most of the seeds out. Ava was a wimp and wouldn't touch them. She didn't like how it felt.

The finished product! Jason did the cool looking ones!

Halloween

Here are some Halloween pics - Savannah went as Hannah Montana, Ava was a pirate/fairy princess, and little Leah was a "lil stinker" (skunk). We didn't do much trick or treating, but the kids were happy with what they got.

Ava The Pirate!

Ava as the "fairy princess". She had a preschool party earlier in the day and when she got home she decided that she didn't want to be a pirate. Luckily I had this dance costume from 2 years ago and she decided that it was cool enough to wear trick or treating.

Savannah as "Hannah Montana"

This is our little stinker, little Leah!

We're nerds - I know!

Billy Ray Rocks!

Ok, so it is Halloween time and my hubby, Jason, is always a good sport and gets into the spirit of the holiday. This year Savannah wanted to be Hannah Montana and so Jason decided (actually we decided for him) that he was going to be Billy Ray Cyrus. You have to watch the video below, I promise - it will make you smile for the rest of the day!

Ok, I'm really sad I can't turn it so you can see it right side up. You'll have to turn your head sideways to get the full effect. I should have held the camera the other way when I was recording. I can't figure out how to flip it. Anyone know? I am special.

She's Home!

Well, she finally made it home! Thursday my little sister, Jana, came home from the Eugene, OR mission. I can’t believe that is has already been 18 months. We got to go to the St. George airport and welcome her home. Jason and I barely made it there in time. In fact, the plane landed before we even got there. There was a livestock truck that wrecked on the freeway and we got stopped up in that mess for a bit. We did get there in time to see her get off the airplane. These pics didn’t turn out great. The sun was shining and ruined all my plans for good pictures. We are glad to have Jana back home! We missed her a lot!

Savannah with the poster that she made for Jana.

Ava with the poster she colored for Jana.

The Whole Fam!

Friends who greeted Jana at the airport, Noah, Chelsea Goddard, and Julie Jensen.

Pictures to die for!

Ok, this is a shout out to Emily from Wink Fotos. Today she took pics of my little darlings and they are so beautiful, I have to share them with you all. Her blog is winkfotos.blogspot.com. She did such an amazing job! Thanks Emily.

Aunt Jana, I am so excited to meet you!

As you can see on the right hand side of my screen I am counting down the days until my little sister, Janalee, will be home from the Eugene, Oregon mission. She will be flying into the St. George Airport on Thursday evening. We can hardly wait for her to meet Leah!

Ava's first field trip

Ava had her first field trip last friday with Mrs. Woolsey's preschool class. They went to the fire station on 800 west and to the new safety house. It was really cute and a good presentation for the little tikes. I was glad she was able to go and learn about fire safety.
They even got to sit in the big fire truck. They could have probably fit their whole class on that front seat! This was everyone's favorite part was seeing the fire trucks.
Ava and her best friend, Ashlin.
This "firefighter" was actually one of the dad's who came with his son to the field trip. They said that once they put all of their gear on it weighs about 60 lbs. Yikes! Glad I'm not a firefighter.

She did it, she rolled over!

My little Leah girl rolled over for the first time today. I walked in the kitchen to put something away and when I came back this was how I found her - she wasn't too impressed, but after the first time she just couldn't stop! She rolled over 5 times today. Awww, she is getting so big!

Autumn Leaves Are Falling!

We drove up to Cedar Mountain this afternoon to see all the beautiful fall leaves. First we stopped up at kids pond and the kids talked us into letting them fish for a little bit. I just happened to have their poles and tackle box in the back of the van so we let them. I was glad they didn't catch anything today! Fishing wasn't really in the plans. After kids pond we drove up by the "C". I was sad because all the red leaves are gone and it snowed up on the mountain this weekend. The yellow leaves were still pretty though. I love Cedar Mountain!
Jason told the kids to do a crazy dance - they have so much fun when he is around. Fishing at Kids pond.
Baby Leah's first autumn outing.

The kiddos and me!
Can you tell I really like pictures?

Cassie, I finally made a blog!

Ok Cassie, it has taken me this long, but I finally figured out (I think) how to make a blog. This will be a fun place to keep updated with my friends and share cute pics of my kids. Hope you all enjoy!

Savannah -

Savannah is in first grade. She is such a sweet girl. She just lost her first tooth. Here are some pics below of the joyous occasion.

This was before Jason pulled her tooth. She was a little scared. She even made us say a prayer.

Nurse Jason got some lidocaine to put on her right before he pulled the tooth.Screaming!
She was finally happy when it was all the way out! Nurse Jason looks like Charlie Manson in this pic!

Ava -
Ava is a sweet 4-year-old. She is in preschool and loves it. Everyone that meets Ava loves her. She misses Savannah when she is at school. They are best friends. Here are some pics of Ava on her first day of school.

Isn't she cute?!?

Meet Baby Leah -

This sweet little girl was born June 27. She is such a sweet addition to our family. We are so happy she is here! Everywhere I go people comment about how much hair she has. That is the first thing they say "Look at all that hair!" I love it!

Freakin' Cute!
